There are three easy ways to update your POP firmware:
(1) Download updates to a microSD card up to 128GB (not included).
(2) Download to a computer via the provided USB cable and onto a microSD card.
(3) Download our free app for iOS and Android™ devices.
Download to a MicroSD Card:
Step 1: Download the firmware updates by clicking here
Step 2: Unzip the downloaded files and Copy the contents of the POP V1.20.22.08 folder to the root (uppermost) directory of the SD card.
Step 3: Insert the microSD card into your Pop camera.
Step 4: Power on your POP and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If you should experience any problems, please reset your POP and try again. To reset your camera, insert a pin into the reset button located next to the microSD card slot.
Use Our App:
Step 1: Download the Polaroid POP app from your favorite app store.
Step 2: Pair the phone to the camera through your phones Wi-Fi setting. The Wi-Fi ID will be My_POP_XXXX
Note: Remove Auto-Connect to other networks in your area.
Step 3: A pop-up message will appear each time a new firmware is available.
Step 4: Click on Download and when complete, click upload to move the firmware to your camera.
Step 5: On the camera click ok to start the updating process.
Step 6: Follow the camera prompts until the device turns off.
Step 7: Press the red button to restart your camera and reconnect your device thru Wi-Fi setting.
Download via USB Cable:
Step 1: Insert a microSD card into your Pop.
Step 2: Connect the POP to a computer with the provided USB cable.
Step 3: Download the firmware to your computer by clicking here
Step 4: Unzip the contents of the downloaded file and move them to the microSD card in the POP.
Step 5: Unplug the POP from the computer.
Step 6: Restart the POP (turn OFF and then turn ON) and follow the on-screen instructions.
